1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp sweetener
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
sugar-free whipped cream to serve (optional)
1. Pour 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream into a clean bowl
2. Add in 1 tbsp of keto-friendly sweetener, 1 tbsp cocoa powder and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional).
3. Whisk either with an electrical hand mixer or with a regular whisk for a few minutes, until stiff peaks form. (This should take only 1-2 minutes as we are working with a small amount)
4. Divide the chocolate mousse into two bowls or glasses and serve with whipped cream or just plain.
Optional: Make the recipe without the cocoa powder and reserve some of the plain whipped cream to use as a topping, then add in 1 tbsp of cocoa powder to the remaining plain whipped cream and whisk for a few seconds to incorporate it into the mix.
