Amazing Chinese Style Black Pepper Beef for you to make and enjoy at home and all ready in less than 20 minutes.


300g (10.5oz) of frying strip beef

2 tsp of grated ginger

1 clove of garlic, crushed

1 tbs of soy sauce

3 sticks of celery, chopped

1 small onion, sliced

1/4 cup (4 tbs) of oyster sauce

3/4 cup (180ml) of beef stock (I use low sodium)

1 tbs of cornstarch

1/2 tbs of granulated sweetener (I use sukrin: 1)

1 teaspoon of black pepper

cooking oil spray





Add the beef, soy sauce, ginger and garlic to a bowl and toss to coat.

Heat a frying pan over a medium high heat with cooking oil spray.

Wait for the pan to get hot, then add the beef into the pan and just sear to brown, remove and set aside.

Wipe the frying pan clean, spray with some more cooking oil spray, add the onion and celery and fry for a couple of minutes.

Add back in the beef, along with oyster sauce, stock, sweetener and black pepper.

Mix the cornstarch with a couple of tablespoons of water and mix to form a slurry.

Add this into the sauce and heat until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.

Serve with your choice of sides and enjoy!!
